| T-mobile Sells 1.5 Million Google Android G1 Phones |

October 12, 2008
Before the new phones are avaiable for the general public, preorders for the phones have reached 1.5 million.
T-mobile is selling the G1 made by HTC and has achieved 1.5 million preorders from existing subscribers. This a pretty significant number considering WM, iPhone, Treo and Symbian now support synchronization with Microsoft Exchange and Android does not yet support it. The lack of activesync was one major limiting factor in the initial verison of the iPhone preventing many businesses from considering it as a practical PDA phone. With the release of the iPhone 2.0 update released at the same time as the iPhone 3G, many businesses have adopted them although they don't support tasks and notes sync upon initial release. Google worked closely with hardware and service providers to ensure a smooth release - something Microft might want to consider as many HTC Windows Mobile phones are riddled with serious issues such as poor battery life, bluetooth problems and other limitations.
