Possible Escape From Sprint ETF coming in January? |
|
November 20, 2008
Sprint will be changing administration fees in January potentially opening themselves up for a change in contract which would allow people looking to escape Sprint without paying an Early Termination Fee a way out.
Sprint is already going to move towards the diminishing ETF as most other carriers already have in place. If Sprint does honor the terms of the contract and allow more people out with no ETF in January, this could mean another mass separation of Sprint and its clients. Since Dan Hess has taken leadership of Sprint, staggering numbers of people have been reported as leaving Sprint while other carriers seem to be gaining the same number of new clients - however the numbers match EACH carrier so while Sprint may have been reported as losing 1 million clients, Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile all have gained nearly a million customers each during the same period! I still think if Sprint began beta testing business phones with serious phone enthusiasts, fixed the constant billing issues and made it so you could provision a PDA phone online without calling rep after rep hoping one will actually provision the data on your phone correctly, bring back the SERO pricing to the public, Sprint might make a comeback.
