Nokia Announces Support for Exchange Sync on 43 Devices |
|
September 10, 2008
Nokia announced they will be expanding support for Microsoft Exchange Activesync to 43 Nokia devices.
Although Nokia has offered Activesync on many of their Symbian devices previously, Nokia is anouncing Activesync on additional units. Nokia is having a hard time in the US gaining the mass following as a business PDA that Blackberry, Palm, Windows Mobile and now iPhone currently enjoy. Perhaps more announcements about their ActiveSync support will help. Perhaps if they also had an application store to help you run customization programs and applications they could also gather more US customers. Windows Mobile has some 18,000 applications and iPhone currently has about 2,000 applications available. With Palm selling unlocked phones direct, Nokia may want to expand this idea and have stores in larger malls to assist in putting their unlocked phones on T-mobile and AT&T for those timid about buying phones that don't come directly from the carriers.
