| Microsoft Gearing Up for Windows 7 |

Microsoft may be spending $300 million to try to convince you that you actually want Vista but they are mercifully moving forward with Windows.
We may get to know more details about Windows 7 after Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference (PDC) and Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) which are scheduled in October. We already know that Microsoft is working on touch screen technology for Windows 7 but the things most of us are looking forward to is better performance. For some reason, it seems like Microsoft developed Vista in an environment for people using fast core 2 or quad core computers with 4 or more gigs of ram but most businesses don’t have the budget to replace all of their computers for very few productivity benefits from the OS. Windows 7 hopefully will improve all facets of performance and take advantage of new hardware, not require it just to perform as well as XP on older equipment.
