Verizon FIOS is satisfied with blowing the doors off the speed of your cable modem, DSL or bonded T1; it needs something new to snicker at - T3's.Verizon FIOS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FIOS is a fast internet connection only available to those who happen to live in an area where your land line is serviced by Verizon.   Not all of Verizon’s territories offer Verizon but it is a fantastic service if you happen to live in such an area.   It typically has download speeds of 40 megabit compared to cables (typical) 5 megabit, DSL which varies from 6 (expensive and rare) to less than 1 megabit, Bonded T1 3 megabit and expensive or standard T1 1.5 megabit.    The wonderful thing about FIOS is that even though it is very fast, it is typically about the same price as a cable internet connection.   Now Verizon wants to make your current internet connection look even more wimpy by offering 100 megabit FIOS starting next year.
