Apple Releases New MacBooks |
|
October 15, 2008
Apple released several new MacBooks at the Apple MacBook Event in Cupertino yesterday.
With the usual Apple fan excitement, Job's team discussed their new products at the Apple MacBook Event. Some of the new features include a precision aluminum unibody enclosure in attempt to make them thinner, greener and more durable.
The new MacBooks include an ultrathin LED-backlit display with seamless glass and instant full screen brightness. The new units include an nVidia GPU for fast video rendering. One of the items that many seem to be talking about is the all new, smooth glass Multi-Touch track pad which is significantly larger than the previous touch pad. The MacBook Air includes a minidisplay port and significantly improved video performance and a new hard drive with double the capacity. While the new 13" model is slimmer than most competitors with similar components, it is significantly heavier than a PC alternative - I guess the grass is always greener...
